The Bradley Bourbonnais Junior Varsity baseball team hosted Oak Forest for a Saturday double-header and came away with the sweep, winning the opener 8-1 before blowing open game two with a 12-2 win.
Game One (BBCHS 8 - Oak Forest 1)
BBCHS posted five runs in the fifth inning on its way to an 8-1 victory over Oak Forest in Saturday's opener. Kade Cyr, Cade Liehr, Trent Spoon, and Michael Freitas each had RBIs in the big inning.
Spoon earned the win on the mound for the Boilermakers putting in the full seven innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out nine and walking zero.
The Boilermakers scattered 11 hits in the game with Keaton Schmidt, Alex Rodriguez, and Cyr all putting up multiple hits.
Game Two (BBCHS 12 - Oak Forest 2)
Four hits from Hunter Glassford paved the way to a 12-2 victory for the Boilermakers in game two of Saturday's twin-bill. Glassford tripled in the third, and posted singles in the second, fifth, and sixth innings.
Oak Forest got things started in the first inning with a run, but the Boilermakers evened the score in the bottom half of the opening frame when Kylan Baron scored on a fielding error.
It was the second inning that the Boilermakers pulled away for good, plating five runs. Hunter LeClaire singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, then Baron doubled on a 1-1 count, to scored two. Joel Yarno then singled on a 3-1 count, scoring another pair.
Cade Liehr earned the win for BBCHS, positng five innings while allowing three hits and two runs, striking out six. LeClaire threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
The Boilermakers raked up 14 hits in the game. Maguire Domanszky, Glassford, and LeClaire each collected multiple hits with Glassford leading the way with his 4-for-4 showing at the plate.
BBCHS will travel to Tinley Park tonight to play Andrew.
