High School Freshman Softball: BBCHS comeback falls short against Lincoln-Way Central

Despite a 6-run deficit in the fifth inning, the Bradley-Bourbonnais Freshman Softball team continued to battle, coming up just short of a comeback against Lincoln-Way Central Tuesday night, eventually falling 9-7.

BBCHS scored six runs in the sixth inning in a failed comeback effort, on a error, a single by Mattie Yuska, a triple by Stacie Wade. The final tally came on a groundout RBI by Yuska in the seventh.

Kristina Chronos earned the win in the circle for Lincoln-Way Central, hurling the full seven innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out five and walking one.

Yuska got the start for the Boilermakers, allowing eight hits and nine runs over six innings, striking out one.

The Boilermakers racked up nine hits on the night - Molly Wierer, Alyssa McCord, and Yuska all managed multiple hits to lead the offensive charge.
