The Bradley Bourbonnais JV Baseball team posted a pair of wins to close out the week, with a comeback 7-5 win over Lockport on Friday, followed by a dominating 21-0 win over Kankakee on Saturday.
BBCHS 7 - Lockport 5
The Boilermakers snatched the lead late in the game, plating six runs in the bottom half of the sixth. With the game tied at five Alex Rodriguez singled on a 2-1 count, scoring the go-ahead run.
Michael Freitas started on the mound for BBCHS, lasting four and a third innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out five. Hunter LeClaire and Trent Spoon each went an inning without either allowing a hit - Spoon picked up the win, along with striking out three.
Bradley-Bourbonnais racked up 11 hits, with Joel Yarno, Gabe Renchen, and Rodriguez each producing multiple hits on the evening.
BBCHS 21 - Kankakee 0
The Boilermakers carried Friday's momentum into Saturday's matchup with cross-town rival Kankakee.
Renchen handled all four innings on the mound, allowing just one hit while fanning 10 to earn the shutout.
Glassford put on the show at the plate, collecting five hits in five at bats, with six runs batted in and four runs scored to lead the BBCHS offense.
The Boilermakers tallied 10 runs in the third inning, with Glassford, Renchen, Cade Liehr, Max Karraker, Kylan Baron, and Keaton Schmidt all moving runners across the plate in the inning.
With the pair of wins the Boilermakers move their record to 14-7 on the season, and will travel to South Holland on Wednesday to face off against Thornton.
